Fringe Comedy Review

We are comedy fans. We love comedy. We also love the Edinburgh Fringe and have been up seeing stuff and/or performing for several years now. Although we have seen lots of fantastic comedians at The Pleasance and all the other mainstream venues, we really love seeing stand ups and sketch groups elsewhere too. It’s always more satisfying to think “I saw them first in a damp and dingy pub in the middle of the meadows, before Avalon, before Chortle, before the BBC even!” Also because we love seeing as much as we can we can’t afford to see 40 shows at £10 a pop – but a fiver in a smaller venue or nothing at all at the free Fringe? Now that’s more like it.
